Government Contracts:
We serve our government.

The Arc of the Virginia Peninsula won its first federal contract in 1986. Since then, hundreds of people with and without severe disabilities have found employment through The Arc’s Government Contracts.  Today, our contract employees service over a dozen contracts that provide job opportunities and new career fields to over 100 workers. The Arc employees stock shelves, staff switchboards, assemble eyeglasses, provide custodial services and assist with food service operations at federal installations.  Even during a time of crisis, such as the September 11 incident, our employees are trained to manage critical job requirements and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
